What Eat’s About

To say I like food is an understatement… food consumes me. I eat when I’m happy, I eat when I’m sad. I eat while I do certain things, I eat when I don’t want to do certain things. I eat when I’m hungry, and I also eat when I’m so full that the only reasonable thing to do is to have a piece of chocolate. I know I’m not alone in this. Eating is life!

But before you think this is another “foodie blog” — let me stop you right there. I will not be posting restaurant reviews or recipes. (I find it hard to be critical, and I can’t cook, so there!)

Truth is, I don’t know what kind of blog this is… yet. What I do know is that, after years of trying this food fad here and that fad diet there, I am fed up. So, I’ve decided to put my money where my mouth is, by taking some nutrition courses. This blog serves to document and share what I learn, in hopes to make the idea of “nutrition” a little less complicated.

In the end, I’m just a girl, writing this blog, hoping you’ll come on this food journey with me.

  1. Glad to see more and more people are looking past the fads, and starting to educate themselves about what food is. One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that there is no such thing as “good” or “bad” food. Just food. Enjoy what you eat, and fuel your body for success!

    1. I agree!! Food gets such a bad rep sometimes! One doesn’t get fat from eating fat or high cholesterol from eating foods with high cholesterol. And there is a place for wheat as long as your body can digest it properly. I actually found out recently that I have a sensitivity to egg whites (and other things)! I mean, I can still eat it, but then I have to pay for it… Thanks for the comment!
